Privacy policy
Storyloom is a private video-making tool run by its owner for their own channel. This page explains what it does with data, in plain terms.
What Storyloom accesses
When the owner connects a YouTube channel, Storyloom asks Google for two permissions: upload videos to that channel, and view basic channel information (the channel name). Storyloom uses them for one purpose: to upload the videos the owner has made with it, and to show the connected channel's name in its own settings.
What Storyloom stores
- A long-lived Google sign-in token, kept in a private file on the owner's own server or computer with owner-only permissions. It is never shown in the interface and never sent anywhere except to Google to upload the owner's videos.
- The videos, images, scripts and settings the owner creates, on the same machine.
What Storyloom does not do
- It does not sell, rent or share Google user data with anyone.
- It does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling or to train any model.
- It does not read anyone's videos, comments, subscribers or analytics.
- No person other than the owner reads Google user data obtained through Storyloom.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Storyloom's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Text and image generation
To write scripts, Storyloom sends the owner's prompts to a text model provider chosen in its settings. Voices and images are generated on the owner's own computer. No Google user data is included in these requests.
Removing access and deleting data
The owner can press Disconnect YouTube in Settings, which revokes the token with Google and deletes it from the machine. Access can also be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting a project in Storyloom deletes its files.
